Run your weekly trading review
A Monday routine in the order teams actually read it: Home, the Dashboard, Trading, Intelligence, Markets, Paid Media and Email, then the timeline.

A weekly trading review answers four questions in order: how did last week go, are we on course for the month, why did it move, and what are we doing about it. This guide reads the app in that order. Allow about 30 minutes.
Before you start
- Some parts depend on your plan: Pace against plan needs Targets and pacing, What moved net sales and Actions need Intelligence (Pro and above), and Markets verdicts need Growth or above. Locked parts show a lock and the plan that includes them.
- Set targets first if you want pace (see Set targets and track pace through the month).
1. Home: what changed since you last looked
- Open the brand. Home is the first item in the menu.
- Read Since your last visit: how many changes the timeline recorded, from Shopify, Meta, Google Ads, Klaviyo and your team. Choose Open the timeline to skim them.
2. Dashboard: the week in figures
- Choose Dashboard.
- In the date menu, choose Last week, with Previous period or Year-over-year as the comparison.
- Read the tiles left to right, then the full-width chart. Choose a tile to chart it. Markers above the chart are days with changes; switch them with Changes on.
- Glance at channel, market and product blocks below for anything that moved sharply.
3. Trading: are we on course, and what moved it
- Choose Trading. The Overview opens.
- Choose Week in the period control and step back to last week, or Month to see the month so far.
- Read in the order the page sets out:
- Pace against plan, for the period and the financial year side by side;
- the table comparing the period with the period before and the same period last year (choose Open the P&L for the full P&L);
- the cumulative chart of net sales against both;
- What moved net sales: how much of the change came from orders, average basket, discount rate and return rate, with anything left over shown as not explained by those.
- At the foot, follow Category movement on Products for the products behind the change, and Trading's open actions for what Intelligence wants Trading to do.
4. Intelligence: what to do about it
- Choose Intelligence, then Actions. If you are in a team, it opens on My teams.
- Work through the open actions with the people who own them, and mark each Actioned or Mark done.
- Choose Done to see whether last week's actions worked.
See From finding to done: working through Intelligence.
5. Markets, Paid Media and Email & CRM
- Markets: read What to do in each market. Each market carries a verdict, such as Overspent, Leaking or Scale, with the reason on hover.
- Paid Media: the overview compares every channel and every campaign in one table. Open Meta or Google for campaign detail.
- Email & CRM: last week's campaigns and flows, and the revenue they drove.
6. The timeline: record why
- Open Intelligence, Timeline, or the Timeline button on any page, for last week's dates.
- For each change your team made, choose Add why and write the reason in a line.
- For anything a platform cannot see, such as a press feature, a stock delay or an influencer post, add it from the Dashboard: open the menu beside Timeline and choose Add event.
Next week's review, and every finding that names one of these changes as a candidate cause, will carry the reason.
Make it a habit
- Start a Weekly trading report series so the review arrives every Monday as a draft edition (see Set up a monthly report that sends itself; the steps are the same).
- Or set up a weekly digest for a Slack summary of the headline figures.
Troubleshooting
- Figures for the last day or two look low. Data may still be syncing. See Why is data missing for recent days?
- The Dashboard and Trading disagree. Check both use the same dates and comparison. See Why do two screens show different figures?
- A section is missing from the menu. Your role does not include it. Ask whoever manages access.
