Use the portfolio pages

A tour of a portfolio: Home, Brands, the consolidated Dashboard, Trading with its P&L and targets, and every section added up by brand.

3 min readUpdated 7 October 2026

A portfolio brings several brands together in one currency. Its menu mirrors a brand's: each section adds the brands up and lists the brands beneath, and each brand still has its own pages for records and detail.

Before you start

  • You need access to the portfolio, either as agency staff or as a client user on it.
  • Pages across more than one brand need a plan that includes portfolios; the consolidated P&L also needs the P&L. Agency staff and portfolios covered by their agency's plan are never locked.

Step by step: open a portfolio

  1. Choose the portfolio from the switcher. Client users on one portfolio land on its Home.
  2. Choose a section from the menu.
  3. Pick the period in the date control; Trading and the P&L use the portfolio's own financial year.
  4. In any table of brands, choose a brand to open its own page.

What you will see

The P&L

The same statement as a brand's, from gross sales to EBITDA. Choose Consolidated to add the brands together, or By brand for each brand's statement. Costs entered for the portfolio can be split across its brands, set in the portfolio's Settings, Costs.

Targets and pace

Trading's Overview shows pace against plan for the period and the financial year the period sits in. Targets are set per brand; rates and ratios are planned by brand only. With Pool targets across brands on, the brands share one summed target.

Troubleshooting

  • "This portfolio has no active brands": brands appear once they are active and assigned.
  • "This portfolio's figures failed to load": nothing is shown rather than a partial portfolio. Try again.
  • "The plan could not be read": a brand's targets or figures failed to load, so no pace is shown.

Frequently asked questions

What is a portfolio?

A group of brands looked at together, in one currency, for example several stores owned by the same company. Each brand keeps its own pages; the portfolio adds them up.

Why are the portfolio pages locked?

Looking across more than one brand needs a plan that includes portfolios, and the portfolio P&L also needs the P&L. Agency staff and portfolios covered by their agency's plan are never locked. Team, Settings and Billing always stay open.

Why does the portfolio show no order or customer list?

Records stay with each brand. The portfolio's Products, Orders and Customers pages add the brands up and show a table of each brand; choose a brand to open its own lists.

What does Pool targets across brands do?

It treats the brands' targets as one summed target, so spend can move between brands. The ad spend forecast then splits the portfolio's target by each brand's recent share of spend. It is switched on in the portfolio's Settings, Financial.

Why do some tiles show no daily line?

When the brands report in more than one currency, the tiles show the converted total but no daily line.

Why does the portfolio say it has no active brands?

Brands appear once they are active and assigned to the portfolio. Ask whoever manages the portfolio to add them.
