Use the Orders overview and order list

How to read the Orders overview tiles and charts, and how to search, filter, save views and open records in the order list.

4 min readUpdated 7 October 2026

The Orders section has two pages: Overview, which sums up the period, and Order list, every order with its money and profit. Every figure follows the brand's Shopify filter, so orders the brand excludes (such as wholesale) are left out everywhere.

Before you start

  • You need a role that can view commerce, and a plan that includes Orders (Growth or higher). Agency staff and brands covered by their agency's plan are never locked.
  • Shopify must be connected. Profit needs a cost per item on your products.

The Overview

Open the brand, choose Orders, then Overview. Pick the period and comparison in the date control.

Tiles

Orders, Net sales, AOV, Units per order, Discounts, Returns, Shipping charges and Gross margin. Each shows its change on the comparison period and a small line by day.

Charts and tables

  • Orders by day: new and returning orders by day.
  • Order value bands: how many orders fall into each order value band, new against returning. Values are after discounts, in the store's currency.
  • Recent orders: the latest orders, each opening its record.
  • Orders that lost money: orders whose goods and fees cost more than they brought in, with All orders that lost money to open the full list filtered.
  • Decisions waiting: open Intelligence actions for the Operations and Finance teams, with a link to Actions.

The Order list

Choose Order list in the Orders strip.

Views

The row of tabs at the top holds All orders, Lost money and one tab per order tier that has orders (Strong, Healthy, Thin, Marginal, Returned). Each shows its count.

Search, filters and columns

  1. Type in Search order, customer or email… to find an order.
  2. Use the filter menus: Channel, New or returning, Tag and Attribution. Applied filters show as chips; Clear all removes them.
  3. Choose Columns to show or hide columns. Order and Profit always show; Channel is hidden until you add it.
  4. To keep a combination of filters, search and sort, choose Save view and give it a name. It appears as a tab. Saved views live in this browser only.
  5. Choose any row to open the order's record.

Columns

Troubleshooting

  • "No orders the brand counts in this period": the Shopify filter leaves none. Widen the dates or check the filter in Settings, Integrations.
  • "No orders match this view": clear the search or filters with Show all orders.
  • "Orders could not be loaded": the list stopped part way, so nothing is shown rather than an incomplete list. Try again; if it keeps failing, check the Shopify sync.
  • "Attribution could not be loaded for this period": the rest of the list still works. Try again in a moment.

Frequently asked questions

What do the order tiers mean?

Each order gets a tier from its own profit after cost of goods and fees. Strong is a margin of 40% or more, Healthy 25% or more, Thin 10% or more, and Marginal below that. Loss means the order made no profit, and Returned means it was fully refunded.

Why is an order I can see in Shopify missing from the list?

The brand's Shopify filter, set in Settings, Integrations, can include or exclude orders by sales channel and tag, for example wholesale or point of sale. Excluded orders are left out of every figure. If the filter is not the reason, check the Shopify sync.

What is the difference between Attribution and Pixel first touch?

Attribution is the one channel Fabrik gives each order, using the last touch. Pixel first touch is the first visit with a source that the pixel saw for that customer. They answer different questions, so they can differ.

Are my saved views shared with my team?

No. Saved views are kept in your own browser, so they do not appear for colleagues or on your other devices.

Why does the profit show no cost?

Profit needs a cost per item for each product. Add cost per item in Shopify, or a cost rule in Settings, Costs. Until then those lines show No cost price on the order record.

Why does the list not show orders older than a certain date?

The list shows orders in the period picked in the date control. Widen the date range. Your plan also sets how far back you can look.
