Choose a client's account team

Pick the agency staff who work on a client and its lead. The client sees them on its Home, and the lead is asked about the client's unfinished setup.

The account team is the list of your staff who work on a client, with one lead. It is about who does the work, not who can see the client: everyone at your agency can open a connected client.

Before you start

  • You need a role that can manage users.
  • The people must already be on your agency's team.

Choose the team

  1. Open the client. In its menu under Account, choose Account team.
  2. Choose Add team member and pick a colleague. Repeat for each person.
  3. Choose Make lead on the person who leads the account. Until someone is lead you see "Pick an Account Lead".
  4. Use the arrows to set the order people are shown in.
  5. Choose Save team.

You can also do this during the client's setup, in the Team & Access step.

What you will see

  • On the client's Home, its people see Your team at your agency: each person's photo, name and job title, the lead first, and anyone away in the coming weeks.
  • On Clients, Mine lists the clients whose account team you are on. Account managers and specialists see Mine first.
  • The lead sees "setup not finished" on Needs you for that client.

Troubleshooting

  • A colleague is not in the list: they must have accepted their invitation to your agency first.
  • A person shows "No role set": add their job title in their profile so the client sees it.

Frequently asked questions

Does someone need to be on the account team to open the client?

No. Everyone at your agency can open every connected client. The account team says who works on it.

What does the lead do differently?

The lead is shown first on the client's Home as its main contact, and sees the client's unfinished setup on their own Needs you list.

Can the client change its account team?

No. Only your agency's staff edit it. The client sees it on its Home.

Does the client see why someone is away?

No. The client's Home shows only that a person is away and their dates, never the reason.
