Set up your agency

Create an agency account, finish the three-step agency setup, invite your team and share your Fabrik ID so your first client can connect.

An agency account is the workspace your team uses to look after several client brands. You create it on the sign-up page, then a short setup asks for your agency's details, your team and your first client.

Before you start

  • Use your work email address. It becomes the agency owner's login.
  • Have to hand your agency's website and the email address that should receive Fabrik Analytics invoices.

Create the agency account

  1. Go to the sign-up page and choose I'm an agency ("Manage analytics for multiple client brands").
  2. Enter your Agency name (for example "Northside Studio"), your Full Name, email and a password. Or choose Continue with Google.
  3. Open the confirmation email and click the link.

You are the agency's owner. The agency starts on the free agency plan.

The agency setup

The first time you sign in, Set up your agency opens. It has three steps.

  1. Agency profile: Agency name, Website, Reporting currency (GBP, USD, AED or EUR) and Billing email. Choose Continue.
  2. Your team: choose Invite a teammate for each colleague, with the role they should have, or Continue to do it later. Invitations are emailed with a sign-up link.
  3. First client: your Fabrik ID and connect code are shown under Or share your agency ID. Copy one and send it to your client, or type a Client brand name and choose Create client. Skip for now takes you to your Home.

Which way to add your first client

  • The client's store is not on Fabrik Analytics yet: send the client your Fabrik ID. Their store owner installs Fabrik Analytics from the Shopify App Store, creates a login and enters your Fabrik ID; you approve. This is the way that brings the store with it. See Connect a client to your agency.
  • The client already uses Fabrik Analytics: the same: they send a request with your Fabrik ID.
  • Create client makes an empty client with your agency straight away and opens its setup. Its Shopify store can only be connected through the Shopify app, and an App Store install is not attached to a client you created, so use this only if you have agreed with support@fabrik.ae how the store will be attached. See Add a client.

What you will see

  • Your agency's Home, with Needs you, your clients and your team.
  • Clients, with tabs for Clients, Performance, Setup and health, Offboarding and Connections.
  • Billing in the menu under your name, showing Your plan, Staff seats and Clients, for example "0 of 1".

Troubleshooting

  • "Your role cannot change the agency profile. Ask the agency's owner.": only the owner and directors can change the agency's details.
  • "The client was not created" with a message about the free agency plan: you already have a client. See How many clients can a free agency have?.
  • "We couldn't set up your agency workspace. Contact support.": email support@fabrik.ae with the email address you signed up with.

Frequently asked questions

What does a new agency cost?

Nothing. A new agency starts on the free agency plan, with no end date and room for one client. Paid agency plans add clients and staff seats and come with a free trial.

I skipped the setup. How do I get back to it?

You do not need to. Everything in it is also in the app: the agency's details in Settings, your team in People, and clients in Clients. The setup only opens by itself for the agency's owner while the agency has no clients.

What is the difference between the Fabrik ID and the connect code?

Both identify your agency, and a brand can enter either one to ask to connect. The Fabrik ID is the one shown on Clients, Connections, so it is the one to share.

Can my colleagues finish the setup for me?

The setup opens for the agency's owner. Colleagues you invite land on Home and can add clients if their role allows it.

I signed up as a brand by mistake. Can I turn it into an agency?

No. Sign up again with another email address and choose I'm an agency, or email support@fabrik.ae.
