Use the setup checklist on Home
What each item on the Getting set up checklist means, where each one is done, and how to mark an optional item as not relevant to your brand.

Getting set up is a checklist on your brand's Home. It lists what is still to do so your figures are complete, links each item to the exact place it is done, and stays until each one is done or you mark it not relevant.
Before you start
- You see the checklist if you can set up the brand: the owner of a brand you run yourself, a client user allowed to edit brand settings, or your agency's staff on a brand they manage.
- Open it from Home in your brand's menu. It shows only while something is still to do.
- Everyone who opens Home sees the history panel while history is loading.
Reading the checklist
The heading shows how many items are done, for example "4 of 9 done". Only items still to do are listed. Each has a short reason, a button that takes you to the right page (Connect, Turn on, Add costs, Set targets, Check, Choose, Invite or Open reports), and for optional items Not relevant.
| Item | What it means | Where it takes you |
|---|---|---|
| Connect Shopify | Every figure starts from your store's orders and products | Settings, Integrations |
| Turn on tracking | Accept the Data Processing Agreement so visits and journeys are recorded. Visits cannot be loaded later | Settings, Tracking |
| Connect Meta Ads | Ad spend and return beside your sales | Settings, Integrations |
| Connect Google Ads | Search and Shopping spend beside your sales | Settings, Integrations |
| Connect Klaviyo | Email and SMS revenue, campaigns and flows | Settings, Integrations |
| Add your costs | Shipping, payment fees and overheads, so the P&L shows real profit. Until then it counts them as nothing | Settings, Costs |
| Set targets | Revenue and ad spend targets for this month or later, to see pace | Settings, Financial |
| Check tax, currency and financial year | Shows when Shopify recorded no tax on your orders in the last 90 days and no rate is set. If your prices include VAT, set the rate. It also tells you your reporting currency and the month your financial year starts | Settings, Financial |
| Leave out sales you don't count | Shows when your store sold through more than one sales channel in the last 90 days | Settings, Integrations |
| Invite your team | Give the people you work with their own sign-in. For a brand you run yourself it clears once one other person has access or an invitation is waiting | Settings, Team (agency staff: the client's Access page) |
| Choose a Slack channel | Where alerts and the weekly digest are posted. Only shown when Slack is connected for your brand or its agency | Settings, Integrations |
| Schedule a report | A regular report or digest, made and sent on a schedule | Reports |
Items that cannot apply to your brand are hidden. For example, the sales filter item only appears when your store sells through more than one channel.
Mark an item not relevant
- On the item, choose Not relevant.
- It leaves the list and stops counting towards the total.
- To see hidden items, choose the line at the foot of the checklist, for example "2 marked not relevant, show". Choose Add back to return one to the list.
The history panel
While your last 12 months load, a second panel, Loading your last 12 months, shows each connected platform:
- Starts when setup is finished: the walk waits until you press Start in the wizard.
- Queued, after the platform before it: platforms load one at a time.
- Loading: how many days are done and how far back it has reached so far.
- Starts at the next sync, within the hour: a platform you connected after setup. Its 12 months start at the next scheduled sync.
- Loaded from a date: finished. If it adds "with some days Shopify would not share", some old days could not be read from that platform (the wording names Shopify whichever platform it is); email support@fabrik.ae if you need them.
- Up to date: syncing normally.
- Stopped before finishing. Start it again from Settings, Integrations: the load stopped. Run the platform's sync again from Settings, Integrations, or email support@fabrik.ae.
The panel refreshes every minute. As its own note says, recent weeks fill in within minutes; ads and email take minutes, while Meta and Shopify can take a few hours. Older periods stay empty until the load reaches them.
Troubleshooting
"That could not be saved" when choosing Not relevant: your login may not be allowed to set up this brand, or the connection dropped. Reload and try again.
Invite your team stays after inviting someone: for a brand you run yourself, it clears once one other person has access or an invitation is waiting.
