Add another brand you run yourself

Run more than one store? Add each brand to your own portfolio, connect its store from the Shopify App Store and share your one free trial across them.

If you run several stores yourself, each store is its own brand in Fabrik Analytics, and your brands sit together in one portfolio so you can see them side by side.

Before you start

  • You need to own a brand that runs itself, with no agency. Your first brand should be set up already.
  • You need to be able to install apps on the new brand's Shopify store.
  • Stay signed in throughout: the new store joins the new brand only if you are signed in when Shopify sends you back.

Step by step

  1. Open the menu under your name, top right, and choose Add another brand.
  2. In Add another brand, enter the Brand name. The first time only, you can also give a Portfolio name (optional). Leave it empty and the portfolio is named after your first brand.
  3. Choose Add brand. You see "added. Connect its store next." and the new brand's setup wizard opens on Shopify.
  4. In the same browser, install Fabrik Analytics on the new brand's store from the Shopify App Store and approve the permissions.
  5. Shopify sends you back and the store joins the new brand. Carry on with Finish the setup wizard: tracking, Meta, Google Ads, Klaviyo, then Start.

Add one brand at a time and connect its store before adding the next.

What you will see

  • The first time you add a brand, a portfolio is made holding all the brands you run yourself, with you as its owner.
  • Each brand keeps its own pages, settings and checklist. The portfolio's pages put them side by side where your plan includes them. See Use the portfolio pages.
  • Pressing Start on the new brand loads its last 12 months. It does not start a new trial: see How does the free trial work?

Troubleshooting

"A brand called ... already exists": brand names are unique across Fabrik Analytics. Choose a different name, for example add the market or "Kids".

"Adding brands yourself is for brands without an agency": an agency manages your brand, so it adds brands for you.

The new store made a separate brand: you were signed out when Shopify sent you back, or you added two brands without stores at once. Email support@fabrik.ae with the store name.

Frequently asked questions

Who can add a brand this way?

The owner of a brand that runs itself, with no agency. If an agency manages your brands, it adds brands for you, and the menu item does not appear.

Does each brand get its own free trial?

No. Your brands share one trial. A brand added while the trial runs gets the same end date. One added before your first setup is finished waits for it with the others. One added after the trial has ended starts on Free.

Does each brand need its own plan?

Yes, each brand has its own plan, unless you put the whole portfolio on one Enterprise plan. See Put a group of brands on one Enterprise plan.

Can two brands share one Shopify store?

No. Each brand has one store, and each store belongs to one brand.

I installed on my second store while signed out and it made a separate brand.

The store joins your new brand only when you are signed in as Shopify sends you back. Email support@fabrik.ae with the store name and we will help.

Can I rename the portfolio later?

Email support@fabrik.ae with the new name.
