Finish the setup wizard
Every step of the quick start for a brand you run yourself: Shopify, the tracking agreement and pixel, Meta, Google Ads, Klaviyo, then Start.

The setup wizard is a quick start for a brand you run yourself. It connects your store, switches on tracking, optionally links your ad and email accounts, and then starts your trial and loads your last 12 months. Everything else waits on your Home checklist.
Before you start
- You need to be the owner of a brand you run yourself (you signed up, or installed from Shopify). If an agency manages your brand, its staff run setup instead.
- Have the logins ready for any accounts you want to connect: Meta (Facebook) ads, Google Ads and Klaviyo.
- The wizard opens by itself after you sign up, and every time you sign in until you press Start.
The steps along the top are Shopify, Pixel & Tracking, Meta Ads, Google Ads, Klaviyo and Summary. The wizard opens on the first one not done yet. Every step has Back and Skip, add later.
Step 1: Shopify
- If your store is connected, it shows with Connected and "Installed via the Fabrik Shopify app". Choose Continue.
- If it is not connected yet (you signed up on the website), stay signed in and install Fabrik Analytics from the Shopify App Store in the same browser. When Shopify sends you back, the store joins this brand and the wizard moves on. See Sign up on the website without a store.
- Optional: under Data filters (optional) choose which orders and products feed your dashboards, for example to leave out wholesale or in-store orders. Leave it empty to include everything.
- Optional: under Already work with an agency? enter the agency's Fabrik ID and choose Send request. The agency sees nothing until you are both connected.
Step 2: Pixel & Tracking
This step has two parts, DPA and Web pixel.
- Read the Data Processing Agreement note. Tick "I confirm that I have the legal authority to enable tracking on this store and accept the Data Processing Agreement (v1.0)" and choose Accept & Continue.
- Choose Register web pixel. Fabrik Analytics registers itself under Shopify's Customer events and registers the order webhooks. It makes no theme edits and adds no scripts.
- When you see Web pixel active, choose Complete. You see Tracking setup complete. Choose Next.
Visits can only be recorded from the day tracking is on, so do this step now if you can. More detail: Set up the Fabrik pixel and data processing agreement.
Step 3: Meta Ads
- Choose Connect Meta and sign in to Meta with your own login. You come back to the wizard.
- Pick your account from Select Ad Account.
- Choose Save & Next. If you choose Save & Next without picking an account, the step counts as skipped.
Step 4: Google Ads
- Choose Connect Google Ads and sign in with your Google login.
- Pick your account from Select Customer Account.
- Choose Save & Next.
Step 5: Klaviyo
- Choose Connect Klaviyo and approve Fabrik Analytics in Klaviyo. The connection belongs to this brand only.
- If your login reaches more than one Klaviyo account, pick it under Klaviyo account.
- Choose Save & Next.
Step 6: Summary and Start
The summary lists what is Connected and what was Skipped, and explains what happens next. Choose Start to finish, or Edit integrations later to go to Settings without finishing (you return to the wizard next time you sign in).
What you will see
When you press Start:
- A message such as "12 months of history queued", naming the platforms. If nothing is connected you see "No connected platforms to sync yet" instead.
- Your 14-day Pro trial starts. See How does the free trial work?
- Your last 12 months load one platform at a time (Google Ads, then Meta, then Klaviyo, then Shopify), newest days first. See How is my history loaded?
- You land on Home, with Loading your last 12 months and Getting set up, which lists anything you skipped plus costs, targets, tax and your team. See Use the setup checklist on Home.
Troubleshooting
"Shopify not connected" on the tracking step: go back to Shopify and connect it first.
"Registration failed" on the web pixel: if the message mentions permissions, open Fabrik Analytics from Apps in your Shopify admin and approve anything Shopify asks for, then run the step again. Otherwise try again in a few minutes, or email support@fabrik.ae.
"You don't have access to this page": your login cannot set up this brand. If an agency manages it, the agency runs setup.
"Setup could not be finished" after Start: reload and press Start again. If it repeats, email support@fabrik.ae.
