Schedule a recurring report series

A series makes a new edition of a report for every closed period, using the same sections and default notes each time. Each edition is a separate report you can review, edit, publish and send.

Before you start

• Plan: scheduled report series are on the Growth plan and above.
• Role: you need permission to create and edit reports at the brand.

Step by step: create a series

1. Open the brand and choose Reports, then New report.
2. Either choose a template under Start from a template (each is a series), or choose Strategy report.
3. For a strategy report, choose the cadence: Monthly (recommended), Weekly, Quarterly, Half-year or Yearly. Quarters, halves and years follow the brand's financial year.
4. Select Create. The first edition, for the latest closed period, is generated and opens in the editor.

Step by step: turn a one-off report into a series

1. Open the one-off report in the editor.
2. In the settings panel, scroll to Recurrence.
3. Select Make this a recurring monthly series.
4. The report is added to the brand's monthly series and new editions follow its settings.

Step by step: change a series

1. Open any edition of the series in the editor.
2. In the settings panel, under Recurrence:
   • Series active: switch off to stop new editions, on to resume.
   • Title pattern: the start of each edition's title. Each edition adds its period, for example "Performance Report, May 2026".
   • Frequency: Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Half-year or Yearly.
   • Default context notes and Default next steps: text placed in each new edition, ready to edit.
3. Generate now makes the edition for the latest closed period if it is not there yet.
4. Sections you tick or untick here also apply to every future edition.
5. Series changes save on their own a moment after you make them. A message confirms Series saved, with "Future reports will use this configuration."

Step by step: delete a series

1. Open an edition of the series.
2. Under Recurrence, select Delete series.
3. Confirm with Delete. No new editions are generated. Reports already produced remain.

What you will see

• Each new edition appears on the Reports page as a draft, titled with the series' title pattern and the period.
• The Last run column shows when it was generated.
• If delivery is set to send on generation, recipients receive it straight away. Otherwise it waits for you to publish.

Troubleshooting

• "Schedule already exists": the brand already has an active series of that cadence. It opens instead of a duplicate.
• No new edition appeared. Check Series active is on, then choose Generate now. Editions are only made for brands that are being served, with an active agency link or their own plan. Email support@fabrik.ae if it still does not appear.
• Quarterly, Half-year or Yearly does not save. Those cadences are not available for series yet. Use Weekly or Monthly.
