Requests to join your brand
Why someone who signs up with your company email waits for approval, who is told, where a request is approved or declined, and what the requester sees.

When someone signs up with an email address at your company's domain, Fabrik Analytics does not give them access automatically. It records a request to join, tells the people who manage your brand's users, and waits for a decision.
How a request is made
A request is created when someone signs up, with a password or with Google, and either:
- their email domain (for example fellwick.com) is in a brand's Allowed email domains, or a portfolio's, or
- they sign up from a Shopify install for a store that is already connected to another workspace.
They see Awaiting approval: "Your request to join" your brand "has been sent to the team. You'll get access as soon as it's approved." They can choose Check again or Sign out.
Who is told
Everyone who may decide the request gets an email, "<name> asked for access to" your brand, with Review the request, and a notification in the bell:
- the agency's staff who manage users for the brand, and
- the brand's own people who manage users, Client Owners by default.
If nobody matches, Fabrik's own team is told.
Approve or decline a request (agency staff)
- Open the agency's Settings and choose Client users.
- Choose the Access requests view. The count shows how many are waiting.
- Each request shows Email, Name, Brand, Role and when it was Requested.
- Check the Brand. No domain match means the request was not matched to one brand, for example because it matched a portfolio. Pick the brand from Select brand.
- Pick a Role: Client Owner, Client Manager or Client Viewer.
- Choose Approve or Deny.
Approving gives the person that role and that one brand. It does not make them a portfolio member: to give them every brand in a portfolio, add them on the portfolio's Access page afterwards.
If you manage users at your own brand
The Review the request email opens your brand's Access page, but the Approve and Deny buttons are only on the agency's Settings, Client users page. As a Client Owner you can still let the person in:
- Go to Settings, Team and choose Invite a client user.
- Enter their name and the email address they signed up with, and choose a role.
- Choose Send Invitation. Because they already have a login, they get access at once. See Invite someone who already has a login.
If you do not recognise the person, do nothing and tell your agency, or email support@fabrik.ae to have the request declined.
What the requester sees
- Approved: an email, "You now have access to" the brand, with Sign in. Check again opens the app.
- Declined: an email, "Your request for access was not approved", and Access declined in the app.
Set your company's email domains (agency staff)
- Open the brand and go to Settings, Brand.
- In Allowed email domains, enter your domains separated by commas, for example fellwick.com, fellwick.co.uk.
- Save. From then on, sign-ups from those domains become requests for this brand. Gmail, Outlook and other public domains are removed.
Troubleshooting
"Select a brand before approving": the request did not match a brand. Choose one in the Brand column first.
"An approval grants a client role (client owner, manager or viewer)": you chose eCom Director or Marketing Exec. Approve with one of the three roles named.
"You cannot decide this request": your login does not manage users for that brand.
"Request already decided": someone else approved or declined it first. Reload the page.
The requester still sees Awaiting approval after approval: ask them to choose Check again, or to sign out and back in.
