Portfolios and who can see them
How portfolios group several brands, how membership gives access to every brand in it, who can invite, add or remove members, and what removal takes away.

A portfolio groups several brands, for example all the brands owned by one company. People who are members of a portfolio see every active brand in it, without being given each brand one by one.
Before you start
- Inviting someone to a portfolio is open to the portfolio's agency staff who can manage users, and to the portfolio's Portfolio owner.
- Add member, changing a member's portfolio role and removing members are open to the portfolio's agency staff only. A Portfolio owner adds someone who already has a login by inviting their address, which gives access at once.
- A Portfolio owner can only give a client role up to their own.
- Every member has a client role (what they can do) and a portfolio role: Portfolio owner, Portfolio admin or Viewer. See Roles and what each can do.
Open the portfolio's Access page
- Agency staff: open the portfolio and choose Account, Access.
- Client users: open the portfolio and choose Settings, Team.
The page, titled Access, says "Everyone who sees every client in" the portfolio. At the top, Clients in this portfolio lists its brands, each linking to that brand's own access list.
The table shows each member's Person, Portfolio role, Clients it gives them and Teams. Use the views Everyone, Owners and admins and Viewers, or search by name or email.
Client users currently see only their own row in this table. The full list of members is visible to the portfolio's agency staff.
Invite someone to a portfolio
- On the portfolio's Access page, choose Invite.
- A form titled Invite someone to the portfolio opens. Fill in First Name and Last Name (required), Email Address and, if you like, Job Title.
- Choose their Role (their client role, starting on Client Viewer) and their Portfolio role (starting on Viewer).
- Choose Send Invitation. They become a member, and see every active client in the portfolio, once they accept. Someone who already has a login gets access straight away. See Invite someone who already has a login.
When the invitation is accepted, the membership is only made if the person who sent it may still invite people to the portfolio.
Add someone who already has a login (agency staff)
- Choose Add member.
- Pick the person and their portfolio role.
- Choose Add member. They see every active client in the portfolio as soon as you save.
Remove a member (agency staff)
- On the member's row, choose Remove. You cannot remove yourself.
- Confirm Remove member in Remove from this portfolio?
They lose the access the membership gave them, at every brand in the portfolio. Access given to a single brand directly, by name, stays: remove that on the brand's own Access page. See Remove someone's access.
What you will see
- The Clients it gives them column lists the brands each member can see through the portfolio. "None you can see" means none of those brands are visible to you.
- If a member's teams differ between brands, the Teams column says Differs by client. See Set a person's teams.
Troubleshooting
"No portfolio found": the portfolio no longer exists, or you do not have access to it.
"The portfolio's access could not be loaded": choose Try again.
"The role was not changed" or "Nothing was removed": your login is not allowed to make that change, or someone else changed it first. Reload and try again.
