How teams decide who sees each action
The nine teams, which side each action lands on, and how to put people in teams so Intelligence opens on their own actions.

Every finding in Intelligence belongs to one of nine teams. The team decides where the action appears, which side it sits on, and whose name is shown beside it. Nobody's job title is "profitability", so findings go to the team that would actually do the work.
The nine teams
| Team | Looks after |
|---|---|
| Trading | Pace against plan, promotions, pricing and markets |
| Paid Media | Meta and Google budgets, bids, targeting and spend |
| CRM & Retention | Send plan, segments, flows and repeat customers |
| Content | Ad creative, email design and site content |
| Merchandising | What is on site and in what order: collections, tiers, pairings and the theme |
| Buying | Intake, reorder, sizes, markdown and open-to-buy |
| Operations | Shipping, fulfilment, returns and the delivery promise |
| Finance | Margin, cost lines, fees and cash |
| Data | Tracking, pixel, syncs and integrations |
The team is chosen by the rule that raised the finding. For example, a market spending more on ads than it returns goes to Paid Media, and a best seller missing a key size gives Buying a reorder step and Paid Media a step to move spend.
Your side and our side
Each action is placed on one side:
- Your side (agency staff see this as Client side) when a client user at the brand is in that team.
- Our side when someone on the agency's account team for the brand is in that team.
- If neither applies, Buying, Trading, Merchandising, Operations and Finance actions go to the client's side, and the others to the agency's side.
The counts on the brand Home and on Intelligence use the same rule, so they always agree.
Before you start
- To set a client user's teams you need permission to manage access at that brand (client owners have it by default), or be agency staff linked to the client.
- Agency staff set their colleagues' teams in People.
Step by step: put a client user in teams
- Open the brand.
- Client users: open Settings, Team. Agency staff: open Account, Access.
- Find the person and select Teams on their row.
- Tick every team they work in at this brand.
- Select Save teams. The dialog closes and their teams show as badges in the Teams column.
A client user's teams apply to that brand only, so the same person can be in different teams at different brands.
Step by step: put an agency person in teams
- Open People and select the person.
- Choose Edit.
- Under Teams, tick their teams. If you pick more than one, choose which is their main team.
- Save.
What you will see
- On Intelligence, Actions, a person in any team opens on My teams: only their teams' actions. The filter chip says which teams they are in.
- Each action shows its team badge and, where someone on the account team is in that team, Owner: and their first name.
- The Team filter lists all nine teams with a count for each.
Troubleshooting
- No Teams button on a person's row. Only client users get team buttons on a brand's access list, and only for people who may manage access. Agency staff are set in People.
