What is Intelligence?

Intelligence checks your brand's data every hour and lists what needs doing, by team, with the timeline of changes and whether the data can be trusted.

Intelligence is where Fabrik Analytics turns your figures into a list of things to do. It runs a large set of checks on your sales, stock, advertising, email, website and survey data, keeps only the findings that pass its tests, and gives each one to the team that should act on it.

Before you start

  • Plan: Intelligence is included on the Pro plan and above. On a plan without it, the menu item shows a lock and the page tells you which plan includes it.
  • Role: your role must allow Intelligence. Agency staff and most client roles have it; if you cannot see Intelligence in the brand menu, ask whoever manages access to your brand.
  • Data: the more you connect (Shopify, Meta Ads, Google Ads, Klaviyo, the post-purchase survey), the more Intelligence can check. With only Shopify connected, the advertising and email checks have nothing to test.

Find it

  1. Open your brand from the brand switcher.
  2. In the brand menu, choose Intelligence.
  3. Use the strip under the page title to move between its three pages: Actions, Timeline and Data trust.

The period control in the page header sets the period every Intelligence page looks at. You can choose a week, a month, a quarter, a half year or a full year, following your brand's financial year.

The three pages

Actions

The list of everything worth doing, ranked by the money at stake. Four figures sit along the top:

FigureWhat it counts
OpenEvery open action on the brand, split into your side and the other side
High priorityOpen actions from findings marked High: the ones to take first
In reach this monthMoney that could land inside this month if the actions are taken, added up
Done this monthActions marked actioned or resolved this month, and how many have cleared since

Below them, the list has four views: Open, your side (client users read Your side, agency staff read Client side), Our side and Done. The Team filter shows one team's actions, and My teams shows only the teams you belong to. Switch between cards and a table with the switch at the right of the toolbar.

Each action shows its severity, what was found, the change on the timeline it may be linked to (shown as Cause:), the team, who on the account team is on it, how long it has been open, and any money in reach. Select an action to open it in full.

Timeline

Every change recorded for the brand in the period, newest day first: ad edits, price and product changes, theme changes, email sends and any custom events your team added. The panel at the side counts the changes By platform, shows Who made them, and says how many changes are Named as a candidate cause by open findings, with a link to See them on Actions.

Data trust

Whether to believe what Actions says. It shows when the checks last ran and for which period, whether every data source is reporting, each platform's Sync health (its last completed sync), the Change feeds that fill the timeline, and What the evidence engine found, including the reasons it held findings back.

What you will see

  • A brand with plenty of data usually has a handful of open actions, not dozens. Intelligence is built to stay quiet when it is not sure.
  • A finding opened in full shows the money involved, a description, the suggested steps for each team, a link to the page it is about, how long it has been open and the recorded changes in that area over the last 30 days.

Troubleshooting

  • "Nothing to act on" means no finding passed its tests for this period. See the article on why Intelligence shows nothing to act on.
  • "Checked at ... but some checks did not run" on Data trust means a data source could not be read during the last check. Findings from that run are still shown, but nothing is closed until a complete run.
  • Sync health says "Not synced yet" or asks you to reconnect: reconnect the platform in Settings, Integrations.

Frequently asked questions

Which plan includes Intelligence?

Intelligence is part of the Pro plan and above. On a plan without it, Intelligence stays in the menu with a lock and shows which plan includes it. A brand whose plan is paid by its agency is never locked.

Where did the Trading page go?

Trading used to be a page inside Intelligence. It is now its own section in the brand menu, between Dashboard and Intelligence, with the Overview, the P&L and Targets. Old links to the Intelligence Trading page open the Trading section.

What is the difference between Intelligence and the Dashboard?

The Dashboard shows your figures. Intelligence tells you what in those figures needs action, who should take it, and what changed that might explain it.

Why is the Done tab missing?

Done is now a view inside Actions. Open Intelligence, Actions and choose Done in the row of views above the list.

Can I see Intelligence across all my brands at once?

Agency staff with access to agency Intelligence see every client in one place: money at stake by client, open actions and critical findings. A portfolio has its own Intelligence page for the brands in it.

Does Intelligence change anything in my ad accounts or store?

No. Intelligence reads your data and recommends. It does not change your ads, prices or store unless an action button is offered on a finding and someone confirms it.
