Act on or close a finding
Open a finding, read what to do and why, take the action, mark it done or actioned, and see what happened afterwards in the Done view.

A finding is something Intelligence is confident about and believes is worth money or attention. This article covers how to open one, what each part means, how you act on it and how it closes.
Before you start
- You need access to Intelligence at the brand (Pro plan and above).
- Acting on a finding usually means working in another platform, such as Shopify, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads or Klaviyo. Make sure the right person in that team has access there.
Step by step: open a finding
- Open the brand and choose Intelligence, Actions.
- Pick a view: Open, your side, Our side or Done. Use Team to narrow to one team.
- Select the action card (or the row, in table view).
- The finding opens in a window. Some actions open the page they are about instead, for example the Trading overview.
What you will see in the finding
| Part | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Headline figure | The money involved and the window it covers |
| Severity | How urgent it is. Also marked affects money or reporting only |
| Description | What was found, with the figures |
| Suggested steps | One line per team, such as Buying: reorder, Paid Media: move spend |
| Table | The products, campaigns or markets involved, where there are several |
| Link | Opens the page the finding is about, already filtered |
| First recorded | First recorded today, or how many days ago it was first seen and that it is still open |
| What was changed in this area | Deliberate changes recorded in the last 30 days, with who made them. These are candidates for you to weigh, not established causes |
On the card, Cause: shows the single change the finding most likely relates to, and New or Open with a number of days shows its age.
Step by step: act on a finding
- Read the suggested step for your team.
- Check the changes listed under What was changed in this area. A paused campaign or a price change just before a drop is the first thing to look at.
- Make the change in the platform concerned.
- Under the action's card, or at the foot of its window, choose Actioned so it moves to Done and you can see whether it cleared. Choose Mark done if there was nothing more to do. A message confirms Marked actioned or Marked done.
- If you want the reason on record, find the change on Intelligence, Timeline once it has synced and select Add why beside it (where you may add one), so the rest of the team sees why it was made.
One-click actions
On a small number of accounts, a finding may carry a button that makes the change for you, for example pausing an ad set. Selecting it opens a confirmation window showing the change, its risk level and an estimated impact. Choose Execute to go ahead or Cancel to stop. The change is recorded on the timeline like any other change, so the next checks measure what it did.
How a finding closes
- Checks run about once an hour. When a complete run no longer finds the problem, the finding closes and leaves the open list.
- If a run could not read one of its sources, it closes nothing, because it cannot be sure the problem has gone.
- Actions that open their own page, rather than a window, have no Mark done or Actioned buttons. They close on their own once the check no longer finds them.
- Snooze puts an action aside For 7 days or For 30 days. It leaves the open list and comes back on its own when the time is up, if the check still finds it.
The Done view
Done lists actions marked Actioned or Resolved, newest first, with the date, the team and a Did it work column:
- Finding cleared since
- Finding still open
- Too early to tell
- Not measured
Under the list, What we did, and what happened after shows changes made through the app and what the numbers did next, and Key sizes restocked, and what happened after shows conversion and ad return once a sold-out size came back. Use Reopen on a row to put it back on the open list.
Troubleshooting
- The finding keeps coming back. The condition is still true when the next check runs. Look at the table in the finding to see which product, campaign or market is still causing it.
- A rule never fits your business. Agency staff can switch a rule off, or change its thresholds, for one brand in Settings, Intelligence rules. Use this sparingly: a switched-off rule finds nothing.
- "Action failed" after a one-click action: the platform refused the change. Make it directly in the platform and email support@fabrik.ae with the message shown.
