A brand's details decide how it is named and recognised, how its reports look, and how its figures are shown. They sit on two Settings tabs: Brand and Financial.
Before you start
- Brand tab: agency staff who can open the brand's Settings.
- Financial tab: the same staff, and the owner of a brand run without an agency.
- Changing the reporting currency changes how every figure for the brand is shown. Agree it with your team first.
Step by step: name, website and email domains
- Open the brand and choose Settings, Brand.
- In the Brand block, edit:
- Brand name;
- Website, used for the brand's icon and to recognise it;
- Allowed email domains, for example fellwick.com, fellwick.co.uk. Sign-ups from these domains are matched to the brand and held for approval.
- Select Save changes. A message confirms Settings saved.
Step by step: icon, logo and report cover
- On the same tab, find Brand images.
- Brand icon: taken from the website's favicon. Select Refresh to fetch it again after changing the website.
- Logo: used on report cover pages. Click the logo box to upload (or replace) it; it is cropped square. A message confirms Logo uploaded.
- Report cover image: the background on report cover pages, cropped to 16:9. Upload it, then set its Focus point.
Step by step: currency, financial year and headline figure
- Choose Settings, Financial.
- Set:
- Reporting currency: one of the currencies listed;
- Financial year starts: the month your year begins. This controls the fiscal year layout in Targets;
- Dashboard headline figure: Net sales, Net sales + shipping or Gross sales. This is the figure the Dashboard leads with.
- Select Save changes. A message confirms Financial settings saved.
The Financial tab also holds the tax setting and the brand's targets. See the article on tax.
Merchandising defaults
At the foot of the Brand tab, Merchandising defaults sets the Default lead time, Default MOQ and MOQ level (Parent SKU or Variant SKU). Reorder planning and the key size alert's reorder suggestions use them. Each saves as it changes.
What you will see
- The new name appears in the menu, brand switcher and reports.
- After a currency change, figures are shown in the new currency. Ad spend in other currencies is converted at each day's rate.
- After changing the financial year, period pickers offer quarters and years on the new basis.
Troubleshooting
- "Failed to save": your role cannot change these settings, or a field is invalid. Ask the agency or your brand's owner.
- A sign-up from your domain did not get access. That is by design: domain matches are held as requests for someone with access to approve.
- Your currency is not listed. Only currencies Fabrik Analytics holds exchange rates for are offered. Email support@fabrik.ae if you need another.
